BLOOD ON THE TIER a NOVEL by HOUSTON PRIOR

For every convicted felon, there was somebody, or something, that fell victim to a serious crime. And was the cause of discontent and the upheaval of peaceful and happy lives that will now be forever eclipsed with grief and associated with abhorrent terror. There may, or, may not, be generations that can still feel the consequences of the initial criminal act, but how the California courts see fit.   Some victims are able to forgive to satisfy their own church taught standards and tenants in what they claim as scriptural teachings And then there are those who want immediate, revenge!
A few higher-ups with-in the ranks of the California Department of Prisons have sworn to have seen too many people like Manson and O.J Simpson play with, and manipulate the laws to their benefits. And will together form a hush-hush club to discuss and create ideas to provide special services to a very selective clientele determined to get final revenge. Their plan.put together uniformed staff and convicts as "hitter" and "setter" teams. As in the theory of 104 year old, volleyball! Or to be more precise, beach volleyball. The staff member, the "setter" and convict, "hitter."
The club, dubbed Torpedo Incorporated, recruited the help of several talented and highly trained individuals that are forced to work along-side of some of the most unlikely characters such as the likes of, Folsom's Harrison Combs who is serving his 17th year of a triple-life sentence after being convicted of three first degree murders.  He is said to be responsible for at least 30 - 45 drug-related "hits," as a "shooter" for a Oakland based drug-cartel. And San Quentin's Alfredo Torrez, serving his 21st year of a life sentence, without any chance of paroling, back to the streets to abduct, rape, torture, like that of the 6 year-old daughter of his fiancé, engaged to marry the following month. He did eventually release the child back to the loving arms of her mother , but with-out eyes to see, and a tongue to talk. He is not well received by the members that must learn from him, and the information he has to offer, proves invaluable. He will cooperate and becomes a reliable source, not to be taken lightly, and has only one condition: Alfredo Torrez wants to contact and consult with a Para-legal, Torpedo Incorporated suspects to be the international terrorist known as "Gregor." He was the target of U.S. intelligence forces, and thought to have been killed in a gun-battle within the concrete and corrugated walls surrounding a group of  buildings located in a burro of Karachi, Pakistan, known as Fish Harbor
Armed with the deadly skills and the resources to spread terror that Gregor will bring to the club, Torpedo Incorporated will quickly grow into what it was never intended to become, a "Murder-for-hire" entity, and it is feared hat the original founders may
become obsolete and be censured, forever! But that will never happen, they will themselves,  alert the authorities and apprise them of their activities.
Combined efforts of intelligence agents from agencies around the globe have a special interest and motive for the success in the investigation that was traced to "The Golden State" and it's infamous prison system. Gregor may still be alive, and he is believed to want revenge for himself- for his disfigurement-compliments of the American CIA "Black-Ops" Division's attempt to capture him, or simply, to terminate him! Covert Commandos Mitchell "Mitch" Carta and Quentin "Q" Clarke are the sole survivors of the failed CIA "project." They accept the opportunity to redeem themselves and avenge the tortured and murdered team-mates they left behind in a thousand pieces, thousands of miles away. Together they will attempt to bring the issue to a halt, and the players to justice, with help of the very enemy they failed to terminate in Karachi!
The Federal Bureau of investigation's "big gun," Special Agent Alec Westa, still fresh from the well organized 3 year investigation of the Mongol motorcycle gang that led to the arrest of over 61 members and associates suspected of federal racketeering, murder, attempted murder, assault, as well as gun and drug violations. Is asked to head the difficult task of keeping the investigation in focus, and orchestrate the disassembly of a thought to be a simple "crime ring," but instead he learns that the "ring" may be just another link, in a chain that intertwines in and out of the loops of our society compromising the health and safety of the multitudes of murderers, child rapists, kidnappers, and drug lords that soil our communities in every country.
The Director of California's Correctional Prisons, Simion "Sim City" Wilson has lost all confidence and control of it's investigative departments, and implores them to "stand-down" and terminate all actions until further notice. But, that's an order that has fallen on deaf ears, and some activities within the investigative community continue and finds they are just a bug on the rump of a Clydesdale and too close to the tail. And learns what "stand-down" means, the hard way.
But before all is "said and done", there will be "BLOOD ON  THE TIER!"
